"אמנות מכשפת" היא תערוכה רב תחומית המציגה מיצבים, מיצגים ו"חפצי עוצמה" שנעשו במדיה עכשווית על ידי אמנים בינלאומיים בני זמננו, היוצרים בהשראת פולחנים ומסורות טקסיות עתיקות ממגוון תרבויות.
לצידם מוצגות יצירות אמנות אתנוגרפית נדירות וחפצי פולחן ארכאולוגיים בני 3,000 שנה. אלה ואלה שואבים את השראתם מהימים בהם האמנות הייתה סוג של קסם, חלק בלתי נפרד מהפולחן, ושימשה כאמצעי לחולל שינוי בעולם נטול טכנולוגיה. האמנים העכשוויים הולכים בעקבות אבותיהם הקדומים, וגם הם יוצרים מעין מרחב מקודש כדי ליצור שינוי של מודעות, יצירת הבנה, ביטוי של מחאה.
השילוב בין העתיק והמסורתי לעכשווי מחזיר את הקסם לאמנות, בכך שהוא יוצר חוויה, חלל שמעביר את הצופה דרך זמנים ותרבויות. באמצעות היצירות חוזרים היוצרים והצופים אל שורשי הפעולה האמנותית: טרנספורמציה, ריפוי, שינוי בתודעה ובמציאות האנושית.

Art of Enchantment catalogue
“Art of Enchantment” is an interdisciplinary exhibition featuring installations, performances and “power objects” created in contemporary media by international artists, whose work is inspired by ancient rituals and tribal traditions from a range of cultures.
Displayed alongside these contemporary creations are rare ethnographic artworks and 3,000-year-old archaeological objects of ritual – all inspired by an understanding of art as a form of magic, an inseparable part of ritual, and a means of instigating change in a world devoid of technology. The contemporary artists follow in the footsteps of these ancestors, similarly creating a sacred space in order to introduce a shift in awareness, foster understanding, or express protest.
This combination of the ancient and the contemporary reenchants art by creating an experience, a space that transports the viewers through different times and cultures. By means of the works, the creators and the viewers return to the roots of artistic action: transformation, healing, and a shift in consciousness and in human reality.
